Right now, we are seeking an Assistant Manager, CustomerAnalytics based at Western Union’s Global Headquarters in Englewood, Colorado location.

In this role, you will be a major force in creating a data-driven outcome to inform business decisions or drive strategic insights at Western Union. You will be an independent, consultative partner with non-technical stakeholders. Be prepared to present deep analysis held against the highest standards in a variety of projects within our shared services team. Ultimately, you will frame the analysis, build your data set, apply analytical techniques to develop actionable business conclusions, and present on your findings.

  • Frame and structure analysis with a rigorous, high standard ofprofessionalism

  • Gather requisite data byquerying large scale relational databases, includingOracle, Netezza, Hive and potentially others as new technologies are adopted byWU

  • Manageoffshore resources around the globe to perform additional data querying tasksas required.

  • Manipulatethe data using advanced analytic techniques, especially those used in omni-channelcustomer analytics

  • Analyzeand visualize data as appropriate to reach informed conclusions, whether by creatinghistograms and probability distributions to setting up valid design ofexperiments to more advanced concepts like estimating demand elasticities,predictive modeling and other statistical techniques.

  • Presentyour findings and analysis to both junior and senior-level folks in theorganization.

What you will need tosucceed:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor’s/Master’sdegree related to quantitative analysis or equivalent experience preferred(i.e. Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, etc.);

  • 3-5 years in project management, consultingstakeholders, presenting analytics, and strategic planning preferred

  • Clear communicator, capable of presentinganalytic findings to small groups of senior-level business owners is required

  • Must be able to think independently with aproblem-solving mindset, operate well with minimal supervision, and makebusiness-impacting recommendations involving pricing, agent network expansion,or other topics

  • Strong experience collaborating closely withbusiness stakeholders, utilizing advanced analytic techniques to generateinsights to inform key business decisions recommended

  • Proficiency with Tableau, Alteryx, Oracle,Netezza and Hive with expert command of SQL.Statistics background withcommand of SAS / R a plus, as well as the following specific concepts /techniques: price elasticity analysis, consumer demand modeling, CHAID,experimental design (DoE), regression (logistic and OLS), principal componentand factor analysis, time series analysis and forecasting preferred.

  • Highly ambitious – seeks accountability in achallenging business environment and thrives on success in the marketplacethrough innovative problem solving

  • Prior professional experience in FinancialServices / Banking field a plus
