Better requires process discipline andsimplification
We’ll be looking to you to define the vision for the WU settlement technology platforms and transform the settlement platform to be the best in the FinTech industry and custom engineered solutions.
Your responsibilities will include developing the plan, build and run activities for the settlement platform. This will include directing a global team of employees and contractors from multiple vendor partners. You will lead implementation of Lean Agile methodologies across the settlement teams. To be successful, you’ll have to partner with accounting, treasury and other teams to lead the ongoing changes to the settlement platforms which drives business growth at WU.
For such a pivotal role, you’ll ideally have a bachelor’s degree in a technology related program or even more desirable, a master’s degree. You’ll have 12+ years of experience in a leadership capacity within a leading large technology team. You’ll be able to provide examples of solid business and technical knowledge. You will be able to paint a picture of what an effective/efficient financial settlements platform should be to drive business forward. You need to have extensive experience in leading end-to-end technology delivery for financial services including engineering and architecture. You’ll be able to provide solid examples of aggressively sun setting legacy technology, while implementing new technology that adds value to the WU customer. Finally, part of the WU culture is constantly working towards a lean/agile environment and you strongly embrace these concepts.
