Right now, we are seeking an IT Manager based at Western Union’s Global Headquarters location in Denver, Colorado.
In this role, you will be responsible for implementation of a service delivery model supporting assigned platforms through a predefined frame-work. The broad range of responsibilities include leading engineering and configuration teams, partnering with key stakeholders, both off-shore and on-shore, and delivering on the service level agreements. This includes monitoring on-going risks and providing resolutions, driving process improvements, resource planning & optimization, and performance management. The role requires leading, managing, and growing the platform assigned to the role.

Lead a team ofnetwork engineers with a broad range of responsibilities including networkarchitecture, design, development, unit testing and configuration management
Build network thatis optimized, well organized, and maintainable
Monitoring on-goingrisks and providing resolutions, driving process improvements, resourceplanning & optimization, and performance management
Be responsible formigration of assigned platforms and processes as per project timelines andensure smooth knowledge transfer in partnership with on-shore and offshorestakeholders
Partner with keystakeholders, both off-shore and on-shore, and delivering on the service levelagreements
Invest time dailyon all projects to remove impediments and provide solutions to technicalchallenges and make escalations as necessary
Participate incapacity and program planning exercises
Hire, manage, andmentor a team of 6-10 engineers
Maintain effectivecommunication with clients, businesses, and partners as needed
What you will need tosucceed:
Bachelor’s Degree in ComputerScience/Engineering/related field is required
4+ years of related technical experience
Prior experience leadingonshore and offshore delivery, including working overlapping business hours topartner with onshore teams
Must be a problem solverwith demonstrated experience in solving difficult technology challenges, with acan-do attitude; possess strong leadership skills in guiding and directingteams throughout the SDLC process
Extensive prior experience in networkoperations, to include implementing and evaluating departmental operations,resolution of issues, constant diligence and awareness of network environmentsto mitigate security risk, threats and unauthorized access.
Understanding of logical and physical databasearchitectures and operating systems
Self-starter with ability to multi-task,prioritize, manage workload, and consistently deliver results
Strong Customer Centric mindset with anability to outperform Service Level Agreements on Customer satisfaction andexperience
Strong communication skills with ability tointeract with partners globally
Experience in a financialservices/payments/Banking vertical is a plus
Technical area of expertise:
Strong experience incommonly used IT concepts, practices, and procedures and routine workapplications
Experience with managingresources and solutions for computer networks, network administration, andnetwork installation
Prior experience leadinga team of at least 6 personnel in a technical environment
Extensive knowledge ofnetwork systems, network and data security, telecommunications, and allassociated hardware, software, and protocols
Knowledge of Firewallpolicy management
Experience with Site toSite VPN and remote user VPN
Strong experience inRouting/Switching/VLAN/IPsec and MPLS management
Experience with securityarchitecture and configuration
Experience with networktraffic analysis and inspection required
Strong experience inCISCO networking switches, routers, Application Centric infrastructure (ACI)and network monitoring tools. Cisco certification is a plus
