We’re seeking a Senior Business Analyst, based in our Denver, Colorado office (DTC headquarters) . In this role, you willcontribute to the effectiveness of the CPCE organization by combining their knowledge of systems and procedure with an understanding of how those responsibilities integrate with the broader goals of the business unit and company. You will lead back office system-related projects and focus on the strategic initiatives of Western Union and Compliance organization in particular, in support of the entire Global Compliance organization.

  • Gather, analyze and prepare user stories and acceptance criteria utilizing the agile methodology

  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy

  • Plan and prioritize feature backlog and development of products.

  • Ensure that the IT design is consistent with the business requests

  • Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements

  • Create UAT plans, perform user acceptance testing, manage test results and lead the project to successful implementation

  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories

  • Train users in new functionality.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst with track record of documenting data requirements, translating business requirements into technical requirements and working with relational database concepts (> 5 years)

  • Minimum 4 years in complex retail/consumer financial services/payment services organizations with multiple financial products, or a regulatory agency or law firm involving payment services compliance issues relating to anti-money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, and related laws and regulations is preferred

  • Experience with the SAFE Agile methodology preferred

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholder groups (business, IT, compliance, etc.)

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision making and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with all levels of management

  • Team player with strong collaborative qualities and a positive demeanor

  • Project management experience/knowledge with ability to drive projects to successful completion a plus

What will make you stand out:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Experience in data mining algorithms and solutions a plus

  • Knowledge of MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access and Visio required

  • Knowledge of SQL, Business Objects, Visual Basic, DB2, a plus
