We’re seeking a Senior Manager, Information Governance based in our Denver, Colorado office (WU headquarters). In this role,you will plan, organize, manage, implement and develop controls for key areas of the Information Governance roadmap related to information and records management.

  • Evaluates, monitors, and assists to develop processes and procedures for the management, retention, disposition and related internal controls for electronic records

  • Oversees and manages the annual data retention compliance process for key company systems

  • Develops and manages Information Governance metrics and prepares reports on the status of the Information Governance program and initiatives

  • Liaises with project and functional teams to advise on and incorporate records management controls into the design, development, and implementation of electronic information systems

  • Provides retention guidance and assists in the planning and oversight of retention and disposition processes for electronic records stored in systems, repositories and applications

  • Captures and analyzes performance measures for Records Management program

  • Prepares audit materials and manages implementation of certain remediation plans

  • Facilitates development, roll-out and management of special projects related to Information Governance

  • Reviews and revises policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure alignment with Information Governance policies, principles, and legal and regulatory requirements

  • Works closely and proactively with representatives and liaisons from internal departments, project teams, and contractors to ensure that records and information assets are managed cost-effectively and in accordance with legal, regulatory and Information Governance needs

  • Oversees areas of off-site storage operations and manages service providers

What you will need to succeed:

  • At least 5+ years’ experience in information governance, records & information management or highly transferable experience

  • Experience navigating complex global laws and regulations as related to record keeping

  • Large scale project management skills

  • Ability to take a leadership role in implementing policies and procedures to support organizational objectives and business success

  • Able to have transparent and productive relationships with peers and collaborate successfully

  • Ability to manage complex, long-term initiatives and advise on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters

  • Ability to influence and challenge business partners in a constructive and persuasive manner

  • Ability to balance risk with delivering business objectives

  • Ability to arrive at creative solutions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confident presentation skills

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

  • Ability to be a company-wide change-agent that influences strategic actions and mindset changes
