Right now, we are seeking an Application Architect,Identity Management based at Western Union’s Global Headquarters in Englewood, Colorado location.
In this role, you will provide architectural oversight for our SailPoint based identity management app. You will be a part of the Western Union Go-Tech organization designing, building, enhancing and supporting the enterprise class systems that power Western Union. This role works across the IT organization and with business partners to define and build out complex solutions and drive value through business process simplification, automation and new product capabilities. You will play a critical role in designing and developing scalable, loosely coupled, event driven object-oriented systems that are the engine behind Western Union.

Support businessanalysts and business stakeholders by presenting complex technical topics inthe language of their domain
Specify bothapplication software and infrastructure designs
Support DEV teams introubleshooting and debugging code (e.g. white box troubleshooting)
Support DEV teams introubleshooting infrastructure issues (e.g. black box troubleshooting)
Functioninterchangeably in waterfall or agile projects
Take the lead astechnical project manager, as necessary
Research topics whenno other internal source available
What you will need tosucceed:
Bachelor's degree inComputer Science/Engineering or the equivalent years of experience
At least 5 years of softwaredevelopment experience
At least 3 years of experiencein the role of App Architect, designing both software and the associatedinfrastructure
Strong knowledge ofobject-oriented design principals and design patterns
Strong debuggingskills with white box and black box troubleshooting
Strong experience withidentity management principles: AuthN, AuthZ, MFA, and SSO
Strong experience with,at least one, identity management app, preferably SailPoint IdentityIQ
Strong experience withrelational databases (e.g. Oracle, MSSQL, or MySQL)
Strong experience withthe following languages: Java, and SQL
Strong communicationskills both oral and written
What will make you stand out:
Experience with DevOpspractices, like Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and AutomatedTesting
Experience withRESTful API design practices
Experience with MicroServices design practices
Experience with messaging technologies (e.g. Tibco)
Exposure to thefinancial services industry
Exposure to AWSServerless Architecture
