Right now, we are seeking an Information SecurityEngineer, SOC based at Western Union’s Headquarters in Englewood, Colorado location.

In this role, you will build, implement and tune network security infrastructure; analyze security threats and vulnerabilities; and handle cyber security incidents. You will be a part of a SOC team with a culture of security innovation and creativity that requires a driven and pro-active mindset.

  • Implementadvanced network threat protection tools

  • Manageand tune IDS and IPS systems

  • Manageand tune database activity monitoring tools

  • Manageand tune Web application firewalls

  • Implementand tune DDoS protection infrastructure and operations

  • Assistwith Security Information and Event Management implementation

  • Assistwith the design of cloud security strategy and processes

  • Assistwith web security gateway/internet proxy implementation and tuning

  • Researchsecurity issues, 0-day attacks and vulnerabilities and define remediation plansthrough risk ranking and scoring

  • Analyzethreat intelligence, and serve as a SME for enterprise security operations

  • Collaborateand communicate well with senior staff

  • Mentorand lead a high-performance team of Information Security Analysts

What you will need tosucceed:

  • Bachelor’sdegree in Computer Science, or other equivalent disciplines preferred

  • Recommendat least 5 years of information security and/or network security experience

  • Knowledgeof network security architectures, standards, tools and methodologies

  • Knowledgeof TCP/IP, network packets analysis

  • Experiencewith Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Experiencewith incident response

  • Experiencewith being a technical lead or subject-matter-expert preferred

  • Knowledgeof security considerations around virtualization and cloud applications

  • Abilityto communicate technical security requirements to technical and non-technicalpersonnel

  • Abilityto collaborate with technical and vendor personnel, cloud service providers

  • Availableoff-hours/on-call to handle occasional incidents and escalations

  • Excellentwritten and verbal skills
