We’re seeking a Manager, AML Compliance based in our Englewood, Colorado office (global headquarters) . In this role,you will help manage one of the critical compliance systems and assist in the development of processes, systems, and strategies related to Western Union compliance with international laws, government regulations and industry best practices. You will assist in the functional management of Compliance Template implementation and management within the AML Compliance Department. In addition, you will manage/coordinate activities for the system, including research, analysis and documentation, design and development of testing related to problem resolution, status reporting, implementation. You will monitor/evaluate project progress, maintain project documentation and develop presentations for communication. You will also be responsible for creating process flows and test cases, conducting testing, recognizing problem areas, analyzing solutions, and making recommendations for resolution.

  • Have decision making ability for moderately complex issues

  • Contribute to the development of and implementation of policies and procedure designed within established strategies of the department

  • Coordinate requirements from stakeholders for changes to the Compliance templates including rules to enforce compliance fields

  • This position will be the liaison between system users, the CS&A team and the GoTech Compliance team

  • Manage a team of Business Analysts and coordinate Compliance Template work with both regional compliance personnel and IT partners

  • Lead projects with end-to-end responsibility (thus need strong Project Management skills)

What you will need to succeed:

  • Willingness to learn and build knowledge base about moderately complex front- end systems and comfortable interacting with IT

  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience managing projects in a complex retail/consumer financial services’ organization with multiple products in payment services, or in a regulatory agency specializing in compliance issues for payment services

  • Substantive understanding of retail/commercial financial services products and delivery systems/platforms

  • Substantive understanding of project management methodology; prior experience managing projects within a compliance or technology organization

  • Understanding of anti-money laundering regulations within the banking/financial services industry

  • Able to create change through influence, foster teamwork and orchestrate teams; demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, ability to earn the trust of leadership and business partners

  • Strong customer-centric viewpoint while possessing knowledge of other business units for possible efficiencies
