We’reseeking a Senior Manager of Internal Audit based at Western Union’s Denver,Colorado office .This individual will lead cross-functional teams of internal auditors in conducting multiple, complex audits and consulting projects under the supervision of senior leadership. Effective management of significant testing elements is expected throughout the audit lifecycle including planning, fieldwork, and reporting. Full management responsibility for professionals and managers is expected while performing all duties inherent in a managerial role.

  • Auditswill focus on key compliance program components including AML, consumerprotection, fraud prevention and data privacy.

  • Possessprior compliance-related experience to challenge the efficacy andefficiency of existing program processes and controls.

  • Stronganalytical abilities, combined with effective communication skills, will beneeded to clearly define possible gaps and identify opportunities for enhancingexisting processes.

  • Thisindividual will contribute to successfully executing the Audit Plan andimplementing the Company’s strategic objectives.

  • Role includes conducting risk assessments, definingand prioritizing macro risks to the Company, and developing the Audit Plan.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Executestrategic audits with focus on key controls, AML regulatory requirements,and operational risks across the business lines of Western Union.

  • Createaudit programs to ensure critical elements of regulatory requirements areevaluated.

  • Testcomplex or high-risk processes within the designated audits.

  • Projectmanage each audit deliverable including resource utilization, budgetlimitations, expectations for completion, and communication of auditreport and issues with client.

  • Coachand develop team members including reviewing test workpapers and writtenwork.

  • Collaboratewith business partners to balance business strategy and emerging trendswith appropriate risk management controls.

  • Presentaudit deliverables to senior management.

  • Assist on special projects tangential to audits.

What will make you stand out:

  • Bachelor’sdegree in Accounting, Finance, Compliance or related are of study.

  • Minimum7 years of progressive work experience in audit, compliance, or similarfunction.

  • Provenexperience in presenting oral or written audit reports to client or seniormanagement.

  • Demonstratedanalytical problem solving skills and effective prioritization ofdemanding tasks.

  • Experiencewith conducting risk assessments and developing the audit plan.

  • Strongunderstanding of key MSB and financial services regulations.

  • Providesstrong leadership role in supporting organizational objectives andbusiness success.

  • Maintainstransparent, collaborative, and productive relationships with peers and clients.

  • Abilityto be a company-wide change-agent to influence strategic actions andmindset.

  • Professionalcertification preferred such as CAMS, CPA or CIA.

  • Mustbe able to work on a computer for extended periods of time and be proficientwith MS Office.

  • Abilityto travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of time.

  • Ability to read, write and speak Spanish, aplus.
