We’re seeking a Senior Manager, Internal Audit, based in our Englewood, Colorado office (global headquarters) .The Auditing team has expanded to react to stronger Global Compliance requirements specifically related to AML, Consumer Protection, Markets Compliance, Consumer Fraud and Data Privacy. In this role,you are expected to have experience in auditing, as well as Compliance related experience to challenge the existing programs. You are expected to manage your projects or significant testing elements through the audit life cycle (including Planning, Fieldwork, Reporting). This requires expertise in the compliance field, knowledge of how WU operates in the compliance space, and understanding of standard practices to measure WU against.
In the role, you are expected to manage projects to support the Audit Plan and the Company’s strategic objectives. The role includes developing audit projects, including scope, risk assessment, and testing attributes to mitigate regulatory risks in our Payments division, specifically in Compliance, AML, Markets Compliance, etc. Success is measured by timely identification of control gaps or risks to the organization in Compliance functions to mitigate risks. You will manage the audit project through planning, fieldwork, and reporting by working with our cross-functional team in execution of tasks. You will utilize analytical skills to evaluate Compliance Program and leverage business acumen when discussing possible gaps and enhancements.

Execute strategic audit plan, focus on key risks, AML regulatory requirements, and operational audits across the business lines of Western Union
Create audit programs to ensure critical elements of regulatory requirements are evaluated
Test complex or high-risk processes within the designated audits
Project manage each audit deliverable including, resource utilization, budget limitations, expectations for completion, and communication of audit report and issues with client
Coach and develop team members on audit projects, including reviewing test workpapers and written work
Collaborate with business partners to balance business strategy, emerging trends/, with appropriate risk management controls
Present audit deliverable to senior management
Assist on special projects tangential to audits
What you will need to succeed:
At least 7 years’ progressively responsible experience specifically in the audit, compliance or similar
Proven experience in presenting oral or written audit reports to client or sr. management
Demonstrated track record for analytical problem-solving skills, and project management of tasks
Experience with risk assessments, audit planning, leadership, etc.
Strong understanding of key MSB/Banking regulations
Able to take a strong leadership role in implementing policies and procedures to support organizational objectives and business success
Able to have transparent and productive relationships with peers and collaborate successfully
Ability to be a company-wide change-agent that influences strategic actions and mindset changes
What will make you stand out:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Compliance or related area of study
Professional certification preferred (i.e. CAMS, CPA, CIA)
