Right now, we are seeking an Agile C.O.E Coach , based at Western Union’s global headquarters in Englewood, Colorado. Youwill play a critical role in helping to evolve the Company and will support the implementation of the WU Way through coaching scrum teams as they deploy agile. Role is responsible for helping create an environment that promotes continuous improvement, increases consistency and quality, reduces customer pain points, and empower employees to enhance the value of the service we provide to clients. Agile Coach will lead WU Way Agile boot camps, help implement Agile processes & capabilities with new teams, build new capabilities by providing training, development, and coaching to upper management. As a part of a select team of highly skilled and motivated individuals the Agile Coach will work closely with business leaders of the organization to ensure teams are proficient in WU Way tools and practices. Agile Coach will be jointly responsible for the development of the program and will be thought partner to leadership on deployment related matters. This role will have to have an ability to effectively manage stakeholders at all levels with different initial interests to achieve common goals. The Agile Coach will help lead the deployment of the Agile program. This role will manage the development and implementation of the deployment, formulating the objectives, strategy, and work plans to achieve goals. Role will resolve complex issues across multiple departments and stakeholders.

  • Performs duties inherent to the managerial role (hiring, performance planning and evaluation, motivation, team building, ensuring effective communication, team resources management and etc.)

  • Develop and enhance Agile training material. Lead problem-solving activities to define problems, determine root causes, create and test options, implement and standardize solutions

  • Advocate the adoption of WU Way by providing structured coaching during deployment to reinforce skills attained during WU Way training.

  • Partner with managers to support employees as necessary to bridge specific knowledge or skills gaps through individual development plans

  • Create awareness and keep momentum by dedicating 30% or more of your time during the deployment on observing and coaching scrum teams on how to shift mindset and behaviors of themselves and their teams to instill a culture of continuous improvement

  • Support and mentor business leaders (Managers, Directors) in Agile leadership

  • Help coach newer members of the Agile COE

  • Ensure that all business-related items are successfully and professionally communicated either verbally or in writing

  • Own the implementation of Agile tools and practices within a business area and communicate the progress to leadership

  • Work hand-in-hand with the business to perform holistic diagnostic, discover opportunities to improve, define ambitious future state, and develop specific and actionable plans to capture identified opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • University (or an equivalent) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Administration.

  • 4+ years’ experience in managing teams, business knowledge, influencing, coaching, personal, interpersonal and leadership skills.
