We are seeking an ApplicationDeveloper/UX Architect , based at Western Union‘s Montvale, NewJersey location. In this role, you will be supporting the AML Compliance IT Solutions for the WU Business Solutions and Payments Services businesses. You will work on projects involving the entire software development cycle, from interpreting and facilitating requirements to developing software to supporting production deployments.

  • Works withCompliance partners to understand and facilitate project requirements.

  • Prepares clearand thorough functional and technical design documents involvingapplicable use cases and design protocols to ensure clear understanding ofdevelopment work to deliver related requirements

  • Utilizes a broadspectrum of technology and innovation to develop software to deliverappropriate solutions.

  • Collaborates withmultiple groups including Compliance, technology teams, Operations, testteams, third party vendors, etc. to ensure alignment to requirements andprocesses to deliver successful solutions.

  • Takesresponsibility to yield enhancements, quality improvement, and costreduction

  • Uses databasedesign and data analytics to ensure system is architected upon a strongfoundation of information and to provide feedback to business andoperations teams

  • Becomes thecentral point of ownership for the end to end system issues anddesign solutions for the functional area and innovatively solves anyproblems

What you will need tosucceed:

  • Bachelor's degreein Computer Science or Technology related field or 5+ years of totalrelevant software development experience

  • Must be a problemsolver with demonstrated experience in solving technology challenges, witha can-do attitude

  • Experience in developingand implementing web-based solutions

  • Knowledge ofarchitecture design concepts, object-oriented design and techniques

  • Knowledge oflogical and physical database architectures and operating systems

  • Self-starter withability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload, and consistentlydeliver results

  • Experience inAgile and Iterative development methodologies

  • Strongcommunication skills including demonstration of written functionalspecifications and technical design with ability to interact with partnersglobally

  • Experience in theFinancial industry a plus

Technicalareas of expertise:

  • 4-5 years of experience withweb technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript)

  • 4-5 years of experience withWeb Accessibility

  • 5 years of experiencedeveloping rapid prototypes and delivering/supporting production-qualitycode.

  • 3+ years of Angular TypeScript,JSON and jQuery

  • .Net, C#, ASP.NetCore

  • Telerik Kendo UI or other JavaScriptUI components a plus

  • Microsoft SQLServer and NoSQL Databases such as Couchbase or MongoDB

  • Experience developing SOAP andRESTful APIs

  • Understanding of core designpatterns

  • Experience withAWS or other Cloud environments a plus
