Right now, we are looking for an IT DeliveryManager , based at Western Union’s Montvale,NJ office. As an IT Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating and delivering data-intensive technology initiatives working with distributed global teams. You’ll also be the team’s Agile advocate and translator by assisting with our adoption and standardization of Agile SCRUM methodology as we migrate from Waterfall methodology.

  • Lead a team of dataengineers with a broad range of responsibilities including softwarearchitecture, design, development, unit testing and software configurationmanagement

  • Deliver software thatis optimized, well organized and maintainable

  • Monitoring on-goingrisks and providing resolutions, driving process improvements, resourceplanning & optimization and performance management

  • Partner with keystakeholders, both off-shore and on-shore, and delivering on the service levelagreements

  • Invest time daily onall projects to remove impediments and provide solutions to technicalchallenges and make escalations as necessary

  • Participate in capacityand program planning exercises

  • Maintain effective communicationwith clients, business and partners as needed

  • End to endproject/product management of technology deliveries

  • Determine overalltechnology project milestones and generate project/product roadmaps

  • Ensure projects meetoverall SDLC required documentation across all impacted areas to adhere tooverall company policies and standards

  • Track and hold teamaccountable to meet overall performance metrics, quarterly reviews, valueassurance, and capitalization targets through regular reporting and communicationvehicles

  • Project reporting andresource allocation management via corporate standardized tool

  • Ability to operateindependently on complex projects

  • Ensure all technologyapplication development process disciplines (solution delivery, projectmanagement, work requests, QA, etc.) are followed, effectively managed andperformed

What you will need to succeed:

  • 6+ years provenproject/program management experience in IT/Finance BA preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in atechnical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related fieldpreferred. MBA or other related advanced degree would be considered a plus.

  • Experience deliveringtechnology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platformsystems environment; Experience with analytics and cloud technologies is aplus.

  • Proven ability to learnbusiness processes quickly and to work well with business partners at differentlevels within the organization

  • Data-orientedpersonality with strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Prior experienceleading onshore and offshore delivery, including working overlapping businesshours to partner with offshore teams

  • Must be a problemsolver with demonstrated experience in solving difficult technology challenges,with a can-do attitude; possess strong leadership skills in guiding anddirecting teams throughout the SDLC process

  • Understanding oflogical and physical database architectures and operating systems

  • Self-starter withability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload, and consistently deliverresults

  • Strong Customer Centricmindset with an ability to outperform Service Level Agreements on Customersatisfaction and experience

  • Experience in Agile andIterative development methodologies is a must

  • Strong communicationskills with ability to interact with partners globally

  • Experience in afinancial services/payments/banking vertical is a plus

  • Technical area of expertise:

  • Experiencedelivering analytics data warehousing solutions using technologies like Hadoop,Appliances (e.g. Netezza), Oracle data warehousing

  • Understandingof ETL script development and tools (e.g. Talend, Informatica)

  • Strongquantitative and analytical skills

  • Understandingof machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM,Decision Forests, etc.

  • Experiencein driving teams developing applications on Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka, Flume,Solr, Kudu, HBase

  • Experiencein dealing with large structured or unstructured datasets

  • Experiencein developing data visualization/infographics in Tableau, ZoomData, etc.

  • Knowledgeof real-time data analytics using techniques such as pattern detection,filtering and correlation

  • Experiencein architecting and developing applications on Amazon Web Services (S3, EC2,EMR, VPC, etc.)

  • Experiencewith NoSQL databases, such as Couchbase, DynamoDB, HBase
