Right now, we are seeking an IT Director – Head ofSpeedpay Engineering based at Western Union’s Global Headquarters location in Englewood, Colorado.

In this role, you will essentially function as the central leader of our Speedpay division. You’ll partner with senior business leaders and clients to drive delivery of C2B electronic payments platform. Your team handles centralized engineering, infrastructure & support functions to manage solution architecture, development and delivery. It’ll be essential for you to optimize overall technology servicing and allocate expenses properly by achieving set KPIs and SLAs.

  • Lead WU’s Speedpay platforms and engineering, focused on both optimizingexisting technology offerings as well as collaborating to deliver newsolutions, participating in strategic planning discussions with product &technology leaders

  • Contribute to enterprise architecture to derive visionary of WU’stechnology platforms and engineering to derive go-forward technology strategy

  • Apply process discipline for software development for all areas ofengineering ownership, with a focus on shifting to an agile methodology as wellas standardizing process including QA testing, with clearly articulated SLAs

  • Deliver upon set SLAs and KPIs for all areas serving businessstakeholders; allocates expenses to the business with a focus on optimizationof expenses over time

  • Lead core infrastructure & support capabilities, with focus ondelivering customer value and integrating dev/ops

  • Lead integration and services of Speedpay solutions into core processingand partner implementations

  • Ensure reliability of systems processing 250M transactions annually with99.99% uptime

  • Manage $20M operational budget annually with strong focus on Zero BasedBudgeting

What you will need tosucceed:

  • Recommend at least 8years in management experience

  • Recommend at least 5years work experience in leading large technology teams

  • Financial Industrybackground with payments industry experience is preferred

  • Extensive experience inleading end-to-end technology delivery for financial services includingengineering and architecture

  • Knowledge and experiencein managing complex, global regulatory landscape

  • Knowledge and experiencein leading cloud transitions and building cloud solutions

  • Knowledge and experiencewith Microsoft stack

  • Experience deliveringsolutions in an agile development framework

  • Mindset of processdiscipline, elimination of waste, and continuous improvement; drives forelimination of duplication and the application of lean tools

  • Able to have transparentand productive relationships with peers and collaborate successfully across theorganization

  • Able to articulate andhelp others understand and embrace a clear vision and strategy

  • Ability to be acompany-wide change agent that influences strategic actions and mindset changes
