Right now, we are seeking a SeniorApplication Developer , based in Montvale, New Jersey.

Senior Application Developers are part of the Western Union wuTech organization designing, building, enhancing and supporting the enterprise class systems that power Western Union. This role works across the IT organization and with business partners to build out complex solutions and drive value through automation and new product capabilities. You will play an important role in designing and developing scalable, message based, event driven micro-service-oriented systems that are the engine behind Western Union. The Senior Application Developer will work on efficient technology solutions based on the business requirements for the integration services and micro services platforms that serve the POS applications including digital applications.

  • Participatein the design and documentation of new and enhanced services

  • Participatesin technical discussions between internal teams and external partners asrequired

  • Takelead role in identifying technical solutions for services and applications

  • Assistsupport teams in solving application issues

  • Consult,develop and maintain all solution integration options ensuring alignmentwith business objectives

  • Implementbest practices, frameworks, design patterns, tools and referencearchitectures

  • Createsdetailed engineering functional solution documentation and artifacts.Prepares/updates the technical guides (‘how to’ docs) shared with partners

  • Workswith internal teams to drive continuous improvement

  • Workson complex, cross functional projects and with cross functional teamsincluding offshore teams

  • Partof the team to ensure that no business impact and all required changesdelivered according to plan, design, and deployed successfully

  • Provideday-to-day technical support and mentoring to our production support teamas required

  • Implementthe design and develop robust and scalable solutions.

  • Takeinitiatives in solving problems

  • Quicklearning of the business and functional domain to be able to providebetter solution options

  • Willingto take challenges and work on new technology

Whatyou need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Scienceor Technology related field is preferred with 5-6+ years of total relevantsoftware development experience

  • Must be a problem solver withdemonstrated experience in solving technology challenges, with a can-doattitude

  • Experience in developing andimplementing web services and solution

  • Strong knowledge of architecturedesign concepts, object-oriented design and techniques

  • Knowledge of logical and physicaldatabase architectures and operating systems

  • Experience in Agile, DevOps andIterative development methodologies

  • Self-starter with ability tomulti-task, prioritize, manage workload, and consistently deliver results

  • Strong communication skills includingdemonstration of written functional specifications and technical designwith ability to interact with partners globally

  • Strong knowledge of cloud services,experience working on AWS/Azure is a big plus 1 or 2 Years of experiencein the Financial industry a plus Technical areas of expertise: IBM MQSeries, IIB (10&9), Message Broker (8 & 7) DataPower(XI52/XI50/XB62/XG45) C, C++, Java, J2EE, ESQL, XSLT and Java Script WMQI,WTX HTTP, SOAP, JSON, RESTful APIs UNIX (AIX, Solaris), Windows, LinuxShell Script Agile Scrum-JIRA/Confluence Source Control-GIT, SVN CI/CD-Jenkins/Ansible DB2, ORACLE, Couchbase Experience in TIBCO BW, EMS is aplus
