Senior Business Development Manager - Western Union

We’re seeking a SeniorBusiness Development Manager, based in our Paris office. In this role, you will approach and liaise with business prospects on the French Market on behalf of Western Union to attract and maintain new clients. The role encompasses all aspects of the sales process from prospecting, through a full “discovery” stage to a client trading. The role requires making effective use of the full suite of WUBS products to build long term, mutually beneficial and profitable relationships with clients.

She/ He will target “mid cap” corporates (below the level of theAlternative Investment Market and FTSE 500 Index).
Understand the challenges of WU prospects / clients face whentrading overseas
Articulate the benefits of WU products range and consultativelyguide them to appropriate solutions:Hedging, Incoming Payments, FX360, Cash Management Platform (CMP) 2.0and banking products.
Establish an initial contact by phone and following to a “1stMeeting” and then regular “Eyeball” Meetings with clients and propose WUproducts and services.
Source opportunities and manage own pipeline as appropriate andwork independently.
Work closely with the New Business Dealers (including joint clientvisits) to ensure that each client is fully “embedded” into using WUBS.
Build a strong working relationship and provide appropriate levelsof coaching and guidance with your Dedicated Demand Generation Executive.
Manage and progress a pipeline of varied opportunities (companyprofile/ needs / solutions required) and ensure that an appropriate number ofmeetings are being sat, and Application Forms being returned.
Source independently the leads via different methods: networking,referrals, exhibitions and WU internal sources.
Collaborate with demand generation team to generate new revenueswith new clients
Build and manage a sales pipeline primarily: Sales Process /Customer Visits involving engaging with clients from a point of low interest toa transaction process with WUBS.
Use of Salesforce.com (SFDC) and understand client requirements,create and present solutions, and work with internal colleagues to createproposals for Boards and / or Parent Company approval.
Close the business and ensure the client uses WU Services andorganise regular meetings to discuss and review progress
Introduce additional products and services and to undertake a general“health-check”
Collaborate with Internal Stakeholders and WU Global team
Fulfill administrationduty: updating CRM, Meeting notes and provide accurate sales forecasts,accreditation review, update SFDC records
What you will need to succeed:
Deep knowledge of FX market inFrance.
Adept at high levelnegotiations and building long-term client relationship.
Highly self-motivated andconfident, with high integrity and tenacity to outperform the competition.
Contribute a positive teamenvironment and fully embrace diversity.
Act as “role-model”, a “team player” andunderstand and consistently demonstrate the Western Union behaviours: Driven,Game Changer, Inspired, Connected and Responsible.
Fluent French & English,and excellent communication/presentation skills across all media, as wellas ability to use technology (e.g. MS Office, web conferencing, searchengines, reporting tools and sales automation platforms such asSalesforce).
Financially astute withknowledge of business needs/concerns, as well as the commercial impact ofglobal news and events.
