We’re seeking a Demand Generator, based in our Peterborough office. In this role, you will telephone potential clients in order to qualify their needs and arrange pre closed meetings for our business development team. You will achieve daily, weekly, monthly and annual targets. You will enable the prospects to gain the best solution by promoting and proposing the appropriate specialist engagement and pre-close using a consultative approach.

  • Enable Western Union to provide the ideal solution by arranging a firm meeting between the prospective client and our specialists

  • Ensure the quality and quantity of meetings meets our aspirations

  • Ensure that effective working relationships are maintained with Business Development Managers and Business Development Executives – understanding their challenges and identifying areas for continuous improvement

  • Remain fully conversant with the organisation’s products and services

  • Accurately update/maintain data and records and ensure they are followed through in accordance with departmental procedures and SLAs

  • Promote the Western Union brand and WUBS FX solutions service

  • Provide a first class service to customers both internal and external

  • Strong team player with the ability to encourage and support others

What you will need to succeed:

  • Demonstrated success in new business telephone sales in a fast-paced environment, consistently achieving targets and deadlines

  • Basic understanding of consultative sales principles, and adept at executive corporate level negotiations and building long-term client relationships

  • Effective time management skills

  • Highly self-motivated and confident, with high integrity and tenacity to outperform the competition

  • Contribute a positive team environment and fully embrace diversity

  • Fluent English, and excellent communication/presentation skills across all media, as well as ability to use technology (e.g. MS Office, web conferencing, search engines, Reuters, reporting tools and sales automation platforms such as Salesforce)

  • Financially astute with knowledge of business needs/concerns, as well as the commercial impact of global news and events.
