We’re seeking an Assistant Manager, Product Owner, based in our Pune, India office. In this role, you will contribute to the effectiveness of the Account Payout Network group by working with key stakeholders and business partners to elicit and document business requirements while working closely with development and testing teams to ensure design meets business expectations. The position will have responsibility for both new and existing products and services definitions and will ensure that WU has best-in-class Account Payout services for mobile and web solutions providing the best possible customer experience, while achieving the success metrics.

  • Work on product ideas that are focused on driving revenue, acquiring new customers, retaining existing customers, building brand loyalty, and providing self-service tools to customers supporting the Account Payout Network Cast vision for local product team and serve as lead contact for global product owner leadership.

  • Define and document product requirements, features, and functionality.

  • Work with UI/UX/Content teams to bring engaging user experiences to life.

  • Manage products through the product development lifecycle Act as product owner in agile process.

  • Lead in-house teams using agile scrum methodology drafting business requirements, prioritizing features, authoring user stories and acceptance criteria, and collaborating with scrum team members to ensure product features are delivered according to specifications

  • Produce Current State and Future State process flows, activity diagrams and use cases as project deliverables for internal as well as external business partners.

  • Maintain project documentation and develop presentations for communication Act as subject matter expert on best practices for Account Payout Network and Digital initiatives.

  • Work with business partners to understand business process and proactively recommend solutions to key business issues.

  • Work independently through business analysis and project management methodologies to ensure completion of all assigned deliverables

  • Participate in collaborative workshops that include external business partners, process owners, and subject matter experts in process discovery activities such as process identification and inventory, process assessment, process discovery and process analysis

What you will need to succeed:

  • 5+ years of experience building and launching consumer applications on web and mobile platforms.

  • At least 3 years of product management experience in Mobile & Web technologies, and Mobile and Web user experience.

  • Past technical background, with minimum 2 years of experience in an engineering role.

  • Strong experience of agile required

  • Ability to break down requirements into epics and stories, grooming and elaboration of stories.

  • Ability to negotiate with engineering, UI, UX Content on the story scope, complexity etc.

  • Experience developing basic wireframes and interaction flows

  • Strong business writing, numerical analysis and verbal communication skills

  • Get things done attitude; Self-motivated, with the ability to “roll-up sleeves” and prioritize critical deadlines.

  • Attention to detail and a penchant for creating great customer experiences.

  • Ability to break down complex experiences into simple documents, stories, and flows.

  • Ability to work seamlessly with matrix teams, and juggle projects across multiple networks and platforms

What will make you stand out:

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in engineering, business, or equivalent (MBA Preferred)

  • PO certification preferred

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders/teams in different countries with different cultural backgrounds.

  • Experience in mobile and web marketing tools a strong plus

  • Experience working in a large corporate environment a plus.

  • Experience in global money movement a plus
