We’re seeking an Associate, Solution Engineering based in our Pune, India office . In this role, you will be responsible to develop and implement new software, maintain and improve existing software.

  • Understand the partners technology platform and help them select the appropriate integration methods that are supported by the Western Union systems.

  • Support the partners during the on-boarding and integration phase with the technical guidance, documentation, troubleshooting etc.

  • Develop and implement testing and quality assurance artifacts for the certification process

  • Ensure that software functionality is implemented according to the WU system specifications

  • Document results accurately and report results tactfully and concisely

  • Log and track system flaws using the issue tracking system

  • Work with a software development team and service providers in a geographically distributed structure to provide solutions to the partners. Troubleshoot application/system issues and enable resolution with support teams, operations, functional, and engineering teams

  • Where necessary, develop and execute manual test cases to detect issues that cannot be identified through automated means

  • Identify opportunities to automate the testing activities. Develop automated test suites that improve the defect detection ratio and optimize the time and efforts in integration.

  • Work independently on simple to medium complex projects

What you will need to succeed:

  • B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required

  • 4-6 years of software quality engineering experience. Experience in development using Java/ Dot net technologies is preferred.

  • Experience and knowledge of Web services, JSON, SOAP UI and XML

  • Good at root cause analysis and troubleshooting technical issues

  • Experience and proficiency handling functional / technical queries

  • Working knowledge of API using Apigee, Java based Web services & Micro services

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to any emerging digital technologies

  • Experience with test management and Defect tracking systems (e.g. Jira, Zephyr, HP ALM)

  • Knowledge of test automation best practices, technologies, tools, techniques and metrics

  • Automation Test processes specifically BDD Automation

  • Good to have experience with Selenium Web Driver/Protractor, JBehave, Cucumber, Serenity, Gherkin tools

  • Good to have understanding and hands on experience with testing of SOAP and REST APIs.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.
