We’re seeking a Scientist-Decision Sciences based in our Pune, India office. In this role, you will be responsible to develop and implement new software, maintain and improve existing software. Ensure that software functionality is implemented with a focus on code optimization and organization.

  • Execute the following activities independently

  • Develop real time and batch risk models toscreen online transactions and stop fraudulent ones independently

  • Document and communicate model results andinsights internally Support Senior/Staff Risk Scientists with ad-hoc analysisin response to internal and external requests

  • Continuously track and evaluate theeffectiveness of risk models and rules Analyze online transaction activity toidentify loss reduction opportunities and devise actionable plans to exploitsuch opportunities

  • Profile customer behavior to identifyopportunities to enhance model/rule performance Execute the followingactivities under the guidance of Senior/Staff Risk Scientists

  • Support R&D initiatives or processimprovement

  • Explore new tools and vendor data Work withcross-functional teams in Risk to implement strategic initiatives andimprovements to current risk management process and tools

What you will need tosucceed:

  • Master's degree in quantitative related field(Statistics, Math, Operations Research, M-tech, B-tech + MBA) required withproven track record in using advanced quantitative and statistical technique

  • Minimum 2 plus years of experience in Riskanalytics/modeling (preferably in financial services)

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Strong communication skills to convey fraudinsight

  • Ability to analyze problems and producejustification to enhance fraud decisions.

  • Minimum of intermediate SQL/SAS programmingexperience

  • Experience in developing predictive models likelogistic regression, decision tree etc and machine learning techniques

  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis toolslike R, Matlab etc desired Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to navigate in Linux/Unix system oraptitude to learn on the job new tools/system
