We’re seeking a Business Systems Analyst, based in our San Francisco, California / Denver, Colorado office ( global headquarters) . Business Systems Analysts are part of the Western Union Go-Tech organization driving the functional design and business logic of the enterprise class systems that power Western Union. This role works across the IT organization and with business partners to analyze requirements and translate them to system solutions that drive value through business process simplification, automation and new product capabilities. You will play a critical role in designing systems that are the engine behind Western Union.

  • Liaise with business to understand strategies and interpret underlying business needs, and with developers, to propose and design technology solutions, thoughtfully transform them into clear business and design requirements, and project manage to attain successful implementation.

  • Interact with product and business stakeholders in requirements definition

  • Own the functional design and documentation of new and enhanced systems

  • Work with architects and development teams on technical system design

  • Work with a team in the agile software development cycle from story grooming through delivery, functional testing and retrospectives

  • Take an ownership role in defining the functional road map for products and technical components

  • Assist support teams in solving user issues and Train users on the operation of systems

  • Validate changes by testing applications and Train users on the operation of systems

  • Work with architects and development teams on technical system design

What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in IT industry

  • 1-2+ Years of experience in software development / business systems analysis / systems analysis.

  • Strong communication skills both oral and written

  • Excellent program-solving and analytical skills

  • Passion for technology and the ability to quickly learn a new business domain

  • Experience with Agile software development practices and tools

  • Be able to articulate system design and domain functions to both technical and non-technical audience.

  • Exposure / experience working with onsite and remote teams
