We’re seeking a Java Developer, based in our SanFrancisco, California or Denver, Coloradooffice ( global headquarters) . You will be responsible for Application Development and implementation as well as providing solutions for integrations with other software systems and applications.
Java Developers are part of the Western Union Go-Tech organization driving the technical design and business logic of the enterprise class systems that power Western Union. This role would be responsible for the technical implementation of solutions supporting business functionality. You are required to work with multiple teams including but not limited to QA, Release Management, Infrastructure, Project Management and the business. You will play a critical role in designing systems that are the engine behind Western Union.

Build winning software and services using cutting edge open-sourcetechnology
Engage with teams to define requirements/interfaces/implementationapproaches
Drive design, development, and delivery of key components of platforms& services
Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, softwarereview, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, softwarereliability analysis
Collaborate with other engineers to write testable, reliable code,continuously deploying to production systems
Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD)
Exercise agile development methodologies to create platform servicesand features
Software testing, quality assurance, performance tuning, improvement,balancing, usability and automation.
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systemsor equivalent experience in Software Development.
1 - 3+ years of experience in Java back-end development.
Exposure in developing Web Applications, infrastructure, distributedsystems, and/or large-scale databases
Experience with software engineering best practices (test drivendevelopment, continuous integration, code reviews, etc.)
Experience with Spring framework.
Experience in object-oriented programming and design
Experience in RDBMS like Oracle/MySQL and NoSQL technologies likeCouchbase
Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills

Familiar with Cloud environment & deployment.
Familiar with logging tools like LogStash or Splunk
Exposure with container and cloud technologies such as Kubernetes,Docker, AWS
Exposure in Kafka, Apache Spark
Knowledge in RESTful API design skills and experience with APImanagement tools like APIGEE, AWS API Gateway
Knowledge in distributed system design
Exposure on cloud-based software development using AWS/Azure
Have experience with financial services and payments
Exposure to Java stack including Enterprise Java, Micro-Services based APIs
