Right now, we are seeking an Product Manager , based at Western Union’s Digital headquarters in San Francisco, California.

  • Work on product ideas that are focused on driving sales, acquiring new customers, retaining existing customers, building brand loyalty, and providing self-service tools to customers

  • Monitoring industry trends to inform product strategy. Based on corporate roadmap, create sprint roadmap. Do research and write user stories aligned with the sprint roadmap. Lead a group of Asst Product Managers and Product Analysts Your team will work as Product Owner within SCRUM team consisting of Engineers, Designers, and Content writer Work cross-functionally with Operations, Content, Marketing, and Sales/BD to bring products to market

  • Assess opportunities by identifying ROI, define key performance indicators and partner with analytics team to measure success

  • Understand product alternatives and work with multi-disciplined team to understand trade-offs and put value on alternatives

  • Define and document product requirements, features, and functionality

  • Work with UI/UX/Content teams to bring engaging user experiences to life

  • Manage products through the product development lifecycle

  • Act as product owner in agile process.

  • Lead in-house teams using agile scrum methodology drafting business requirements, prioritizing features, authoring user stories and acceptance criteria, and collaborating with scrum team members to ensure product features are delivered according to specifications

  • Provide ongoing analysis on product effectiveness using a data driven approach

  • Coordinate with WU marketing professionals to leverage relationships, establish best practices for marketing and advertising and collaborate on a unified WU vision in the mobile and web space

  • Continuously implement and improve analytics infrastructure to track, monitor, optimize, innovate and report on acquisition and conversion metrics

  • Work with regional teams to get alignment, report updates and build business cases, solutions etc.

  • Manage a team of product analysts and specialists

What you will need to succeed:

  • 8+ years of total experience

  • 4+ years as product owner or similar Familiar with FE tools ecosystem (Analytics tools, Tag managers, Attribution, AB test tools etc)

  • Experience in web and mobile analytics a strong plus

  • Experience in web and web marketing a strong plus

  • Experience in global money movement a plus

  • Demonstrates effective team work across disciplines, and enables the team to stay on track or take on difficult tasks

  • Advocates for a thoughtful resolution of bugs despite competing priorities and contrary pressure when it is clear that the product vision, user experience, or product quality is significantly compromised

  • Experience working on payment products desirable

  • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast paced environment

  • Ability to effectively work with engineering teams

  • Basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript knowledge is an advantage

  • Education / Certification: BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience is preferred. MBA is a huge plus
