Right now, we are seeking a Blaze Engineering Developer (Risk Product) , based at Western Union’s office located in San Francisco, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for participating in the development of Blaze Advisor rules engine. The Development Engineer will work within an integrated team to develop and update business object model, rules repository structure, interfaces between rules engine and remaining system, and proper rule execution algorithms to meet functional requirements.

  • Participate inrequirements discussions and meetings as necessary.

  • Assist indocumenting technical risks and issues, and actively work toavoid/mitigate/resolve those risks.

  • CreateRulesets and/or Rules Templates.

  • Createautomated Unit test suites (i.e. BRUnit tests) demonstrating thatdelivered source code meets functional and non-functional requirements

What you will need tosucceed:

  • Bachelor'sdegree in computer science or equivalent experience.

  • Experiencewith Blaze Advisor 7.0 or above.

  • Experience indeveloping and deploying RMAs, including designing and building templates.

  • Excellentverbal and written communication skills.

  • Experiencewith Object Oriented programming (e.g., JAVA, C#)

  • Workexperience in agile environment.

  • Strong unitand integration testing skills.

  • Experienceunderstanding complex business needs, eliciting information, andtranslating that into technical requirements and tasks that areactionable.

  • Experienceconducting root cause analysis in complex systems.

  • SQL and SASexperience preferred.

  • Financialservices experience preferred.
