Right now, we are seeking a Senior Director of Front-End ProductInnovation , based at Western Union’s Digital headquarters in San Francisco, California.

In this role you will be an experienced and strategic thought leader on Digital Platforms, Digital Innovation and Online Strategy. You will be responsible for our front-end innovation of our customer and partner facing online platforms. This will include all aspects of the customer lifecycle, from Digital Onboarding, Transactional Services through to Online servicing and support. The leader will establish our analytics capability and VOC program using data and customer insight to make decisions on UX improvements and new features. The individual will also drive our Mobile strategy.

You will be responsible for leading a product team and engage our customers and stakeholders in markets across the globe. Product Directors and Managers for WU EDGE, GPFI, Digital Onboarding and our Legal and NGO platforms will report into this role.

You will contribute proactively to the development of the company’s online platforms through ideas and creativity based on solid market research, competitive analysis, customer understanding and working in close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, IT, Operations, and the Regional Product Team.

As a member of the WU Payments, Strategy and Product leadership team, you will contribute as a thought leader on both business and technical issues related to our online platforms and will also play a critical role in strategic planning. This position is expected to formulate and execute a global product strategy that directly contributes to the company’s revenue, profitability and overall value proposition.

Product Vision and Leadership

  • Collaborate with business leaders andstakeholders in all markets to define the vision and detailed growth plans forour online platforms.

  • Be an internal and external evangelist for ouronline platforms and industry innovation.

  • Provide leadership, motivation and hands-ondirection and design to the development teams to deliver exceptional productexperiences across all our online platforms.

  • Cultivate an agile and results-driven culturein which innovation and excellence are expected and customer experiences thatexceed expectations is the standard.

Product Strategy and Planning

  • Drive and facilitate our online productstrategy and planning process across the business to provide focus andalignment on critical strategies and delivery plans

  • Engage customers and formalize our “Voice ofthe Customer” program to ensure there is a clear and differentiated valueproposition including testing of concepts and ideas with our customers

  • Execute a clear, actionable product strategyroadmap with priorities to deliver optimal results for customers and thebusiness.

  • Drive product marketing strategies for demandgeneration and client development: buyer/user personas, customer and marketsegmentation, product launch, channel partner management, sales training andtools, presentations, competitive analysis, lead generation and nurturing,content marketing, e-marketing, loyalty/retention and cross-selling.

Product Roadmap and Execution

  • Manage the collection and analysis of marketand competitive data and customer feedback, prioritize opportunities, deriveconclusions and create a strategic vision that outlines the product roadmap todrive future revenue growth

  • Manage the team that will be defining customerrequirements and Use cases for customer facing platforms and key applications,to drive IT development

  • Establish product reporting cadence and workclosely with the sales organization to align on sales and profitability goals.

  • Establish product P/L reporting

  • Establish Web/Customer Analytics function toleverage our data to get insights into trends and behavior of our onlinecustomers

  • Define product priorities and schedules incollaboration with our Executive team and their GTM leadership teams acrossproducts and all relevant countries.

Leadership and Talent Management

  • Motivate the global and regional productstakeholders through proactive performance management, clear accountability andon-going measurement against goals

  • Provide coaching and development opportunitiesto their team for career growth

What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business orFinance is preferred. MBA is stronglydesired.

  • 10+ years related work experience within arelated software industry and/or financial services.

  • Experience working for/with SME and mid-marketclients essential

  • Experience working for a Tier 1 Financialinstitution and / or FinTech software provider preferred

  • Experience working with stakeholders acrossmultiple regions/geographies

  • Proven experience in using product andmarketing to build an organization’s revenue, brand and identity.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal andleadership skills.

  • Highly effective facilitation, presentation,planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and managemultiple projects simultaneously.
