We’re seeking a Manager, Human Resources, based in our Santa Ana, Costa Rica office . In this role, you will help drive to successful human resources strategies in an agile manner that will transform the Western Union customer and employee experience globally across all products and channels.

  • Recommends and is jointly accountable for Human Resource actions (i.e., hiring, terminating, disciplinary, performance ratings, etc.) for assigned functions

  • Advanced knowledge and application of the Labor Law in employee relations and business decisions is a must

  • Capacity to manage groups of at least 200 or more employees across functions

  • Proven experience in engagement and development of teams and leaders

  • Monitors team activities to ensure function objectives and initiatives are being supported

  • Ensures essential policies and procedures are followed and resolves issues as they arise, identifying need for training and development of employees and people managers

  • Provides input for annual goals and objectives that support functional success

  • Understands and communicates function policies and procedures to team

  • Establish successful relationships across functions with business insight

  • Will typically provide direct support to people managers including Managers, Sr Managers, Directors and above

What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelors as a minimum in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology and any other social science career

  • 6-8 years’ experience

  • C1 level English as a minimum

What will make you stand out:

  • Knowledge in technologies and practices that enhance existing HR models a plus

  • Experience in developing and analyzing People Analytics a plus

  • Thirdlanguage a plus
