We’re seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst, based in our Santa Ana, Costa Rica office. As our business scale ever faster, we are looking for a passionate, game-changing, self-starter to join our team to provide financial management and analytical input to important strategic decisions as well as supporting internal business partners with all finance-related matters.

  • Responsible for GMT Digital business variable expenses management, performance analyses, and periodic reporting to Finance and business leadership

  • Analyze Digital topline performance trends, comparisons to Plan to assess business risks or opportunities. Provides consistent Plan/Forecast updates and explanations to business owners

  • Update business models and prepare routine business cases supports for GMT Digital business partners

  • Develop reports and reconciliations by accessing information from various financial systems and company databases to build insights into business performance

  • Build and maintain driver-based financial forecasting models using key business KPIs including customer acquisition, retention, new product launches, and other drivers of the business

  • Perform and evaluate pricing action analysis and projections; including building pricing analytic tools and performance tracking tools. Be the central facilitator between business and local pricing/implementation teams

  • Create and distribute weekly/monthly/quarterly financial reports/dashboards to help internal partners monitor the pulse of the business

  • Assist in new product rollout ROI and related analysis and make recommendations

  • Identify and articulate improvement initiatives aligned with group and departmental goals and actively lead and/or participate in process improvement projects.

  • Assist in month-end close process and expenses reconciliations– be the owner of communication between finance and local accounting team, and provide variance analysis for leadership team review

  • Drive business planning process and collaborate with business partners to provide value-add analysis

  • Other Ad Hoc FP&A tasks

What you will need to succeed:

  • 3 years of direct financial modelling experience – driver-based long term financial planning, DCF modeling, and/or new business/product financial modeling

  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills, be able to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • An effective communicator with the ability to translate complex functional subject matter into simple business language for our business partners

  • Working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles

  • Advanced experience in dynamic Excel (expert with pivot table and slicers, conditional formulas, understanding of macro uses), relational database, and other analytics reporting tools (Tableau, Business Objects, Essbase, etc.)

  • Quick learner and a team player who is flexible, hands-on and capable of handling multiple projects at once

  • Able thrive under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and a positive can-do attitude

What will make you stand out (nice to have):

  • 5 years of total work experience in analytical roles and/or business P&L forecasting strongly preferred

  • Previous Ecommerce, technology (software-as-a-service a plus), or investment banking experience desired
