We’re seeking a Sr Analyst, Business and Financial Analytics, based in our Santa Ana, Costa Rica office . In this role, you will be part of our Analytics team in which our mission is to empower our business leaders to become more data driven. We develop a deep understanding of the key metrics for our business and build common business intelligence platforms for internal data consumption. We also work closely with various partners, eg. Finance, Marketing, Product, Strategy teams to break down business drivers; and to track and analyze customer journeys across our Website and Mobile applications. We build models and scripts to discover patterns in the data and communicate these results to the broader management to drive better decisions

•Be the champion for driving data science, modeling and analytics in a highly energized environment and put recommendations for business improvement in action
•Refine and analyze data from a variety of sources to derive actionable insights
•Partner with business leaders to help identify areas of opportunities in the business through data analytics
•Generate business performance metrics and the right framework to track and improve the same for leadership
•Partner closely with various business leaders to articulate analytics needs and identify opportunities to drive business growth through data modelling
•Break down and analyze business performance and growth drivers
What you will need to succeed:
•Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or another quantitative field
•3+ years in a Business Analytics, Financial Analytics or related role
•Proficiency in advanced excel
•Proficiency in data modeling and visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau
•Ability to understand business KPIs, create financial models and create scenarios from data to derive insights.
•Proficiency in English (B2+)
•Highly analytical, technically savvy, a true self- starter, and extremely data-driven
•Organized and structured thinker, with an ability to convey complex information in a polished, clear, concise, and professional manner
•Strong interpersonal skills, to work with different people in the organization
What will make you stand out:
•Experience querying databases (Business Objects, SQL, Hive, Hadoop or similar)
•Proficiency in statistical tools like R or Python
•Proficiency in analytical tools like @Risk, for example
•Experience in Banking, Financial Services or related field is also a plus
