We are seeking a Sr Product Manager for WU Digital Payment Product team , based in our San Jose, Costa Rica office
This role will be responsible for the product management of electronic payments, new payment integration for cards, alternative payment methods and wallet, vendor integrations, WU payments systems, and overall ownership of end to end payment integrations.
This role is essential to the operation of the whole team for proper coverage, support, collaboration with the other product teams in several locations. Key initiatives this Sr. Product Manager will lead include payment product management, new payment integrations, market research on new payment methods, Issuer Outreach, product performance and optimizations, payment routing, and payments reporting to all teams including regional/country leaders.
The position will provide key insights on best payment practices, reporting, and analysis. The position will also work closely with various departments and vendors to maintain best in class payment systems and resolve issues in a timely manner.

•Evaluate and prepare strategy and recommendations on current and future payment products and processes
•Continuous feedback and validation to product roadmap and strategy
•Work closely with the engineering teams to deliver new services and features, to keep the payment infrastructure up to date with customer growth and new product features, and consistently evolve
•Support Payment decision making based on data driven analysis and current KPIs and metrics.
•Determine business requirements for payment systems consistent with internal policies and external regulations
•Review network updates and complete impact assessments
•Responsible for driving revenue, decrease loss, decreasing exceptions, and improving customer experience
•Responsible for reporting, monitoring, and optimizing payment performance, issuer outreach
•Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining new processes for both new and existing payment methods, and supplier risk assessment
•Complete team trainings and ensure processes are compliant and auditable
•Work closely with the Compliance Officer and Risk Management to roll out new projects/procedures, review existing procedures, resolve issues, and minimize risk to the business
•Actively work with the project management team to complete detailed business requirements, assesses impacts of projects, and ensure key tasks are incorporated to project plans. Engage in project releases and user acceptance testing.
What you will need to succeed:
•Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in complex retail/consumer financial services/payment services organizations with multiple financial products, or a regulatory agency or law firm involving payment services compliance issues relating to anti money laundering and related money transmission laws and regulations
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Strong ability to follow-up, details oriented, and influence
•Define payment roadmap plans and excellent presentation skills
•Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interact with many departments and levels of Management
•Proven ability to effectively analyze data and present solid recommendations
•Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle stringent deadlines
•Proven ability to work across teams to develop and document business requirements
•Graduate degree in business or relevant field
•10 years of financial industry experience
•Proficient English speaking and writing skills required
•Required proficiency with Microsoft products
