We’re seeking a Senior Accounting Manager, based in our Vienna office .
In this role, you will ensure full GAAP (Austrian and other local GAAPs) and tax compliance for the Western Union International Bank across 7 jurisdictions. You will remotely be managing around 35 employees in our shared services centre.
You will be responsible for financial statement compilation under the Austrian Banking Act, as well as local GAAPs in the region.
In addition, you will be responsible for regulatory reporting towards several banking supervision authorities that are located in Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, France, Germany and UK.
You will be the main point of contact for internal and external auditors, including tax authorities and banking supervision authorities.

GAAP compliance and accurate financial statements for whole WUIB – including all countries where WUIB is acting as well as supporting WUFH financial statements. This includes oversight to the outsourced operational accounting activities.
Tax compliance and timely and accurate tax reporting in all WUIB relevant jurisdictions. Contact person for all tax audits and responsible for implementation of relevant tax changes.
Statutory reporting ensuring accurate and in time reporting to Western Union International Bank’s home and all relevant host regulators, incl NYDFS.
Month end submission according US GAAP.
What you will need to succeed:
Fluent in German & English
Professional experience in a leadership role in Accounting
Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or equivalent education
Experience working for a large, international organisation What will make you stand out:
