Designs, develops, implements and sustains instructionally sound and captivating learning resources that are created with attention to adult learning principles.

Consults with, advises and supports learning resource developers to ensure global consistency in the development of learning resources.

Curates existing resources to support learning needs for global audiences.


Collaborates with stakeholders to understand audience(s) and desired performance outcomes that can be enabled through learning resources.

Applies an agile approach to efficiently and effectively design and develop learning resources that achieve the desired performance.

Applies test scripts to ensure learning content has been properly vetted and is error free.

Applies, enforces and improves the global learning governance model and practices. Integrates learning evaluation according to the Kirkpatrick Model (L1: Reaction; L2: Learning; L3: Behavior; L4: Results) into the design of learning resources to support performance.

Collaborates with subject matter experts to evaluate and improve existing learning and development programs to ensure compliance with the global learning governance model and practices.

Supports Global Talent and Learning programs as needed, such as Wave Talent, Guide.Perform. Succeed, Employee Engagement Survey and Individual Development Planning

Collaborates with the Global Talent and Learning team to design and develop select learning assets and the corresponding assessment approach to achieve intended program learning outcomes.

Scans the external learning environment and suggests innovations to improve the design, development and sustainment of learning assets and performance support resources at WU.

Continually develops instructional design and technology skills.

Develops deep expertise in all WU systems used to develop and deploy learning and performance support resources, including WU University, Grovo, getAbstract, DevelopMe, Workday, WU Life, Box, Wrike, Bravo! Lucidchart, Panopto, Zoom and others.

What you willneed to succeed:

Experience developing learning resources and curating content for adult audiences, which may include roles in Instructional Design, Communication, Human Resources, and / or Organizational Development or equivalent experience.

Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Training, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Learning Design, Communication, or equivalent field.

Solid instructional design skills and knowledge of adult learning principles

Solid e-learning authoring skills in Articulate Storyline (preferred) or Adobe Captivate, TechSmith Camtasia, Articulate Studio, or Trivantis Lectora.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written and spoken) to work effectively with others.

Strong detail-orientation, project management, continuous improvement, process discipline and organization skills.

Strong in the use of the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
